This sword is reproduction of a Z type viking sword found in Dalarna, Sweden.  The blade is 28" long made from 80CRV2, patterned after the original.  The sword weighs the same as the original: 3lbs.  The guards and pommel are intended to be reproductions of the original.  The originals were iron inlaid with silver - these are bronze inlaid with silver.  The pattern of the inlay is my reconstruction of the original pattern, parts of which have been corroded away.  The handle is bog oak with a silver ring.  The original handle no longer exists.

     The scabbard is a felt lined wooden core covered in leather with a sterling silver chape and strap slide.
